Play By Day, Friday Brunch at Play

With the news of Play recently starting a brunch I wasn’t just flabbergasted with excitement but also wondered what more could this place do, to get better at what it already is and yes the answer is making it more exuberant, lavish and dramatic. Making the party scene more sober we also have the food which is impossible not to finish.

With cabaret dancers, live singers and performing artists I don’t think any other brunch in Dubai can even come close to Play’s take on Friday brunches. With back to back food and drinks you will be spoilt rotten with choices.

The food scene takes off with some salted edamame and proceeds towards more exotic dishes like Salmon, Shrimps, Wagyu and more desirable dishes which will convince you that the culinary team here is not only talented but genuinely loves to pamper their guests.

For the mains you would be making some tuff decisions as most of the dishes sound brilliant but when you have to choose just one it just doesn’t seem fair, especially when the food is so inviting. Well, go either for their Black Cod or the Sea bass, both have intense textures and flavours which will linger on your palates for days to come.

A massive tray filled with tropical fruits, a matcha chocolate cake, their famous sneaker bar and my fav tiny mochi stuffed ice creams are the best way to end your Friday afternoon. While you go home and don’t get struck by the idea of coming back agin, I don’t think anything else can cheer you up then.
