Sydney is a delightful place to visit and if you are into photography this will be your playground. There are so many places to capture and immortalised with your creativity. While I was in Sydney for less than a week I still managed to find a few places which caught my attention.
Wendy’s Secret Garden – Take some time out to rejuvenate in this lush garden of Lavender Bay. From here you get a beautiful view of the Harbour Bridge and get your artistic cap on and get a great frame of that view.
Lavender Bay Wharf – This area is great for walking or running but if you are after that superb shot of the Harbour Bridge this is your place to be. There are many photographers and bloggers who flock around here for the same reason.
Bradfield Park – If I had it my way I would surely shift around here as you get to spend so
Queen Victoria Building – Not only do you get a chance for retail therapy here but also an opportunity to find some beautiful corners to get your feed colourful and the shot to get that Instagram likes high. You can click under the upside-down clock, or just behind the staircase to get those artistic mosaic work in your pictures.
Bondi Icebergs – This isn’t just an ideal attraction but also a perfect place to take a picture. The Bondi Icebergs are one of the most photographs places after Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.
The grounds of Alexandria– This place is great especially if there is an event happening otherwise you can still visit the restaurant. The food is great here but once this place is done up it looks marvellous and makes a fabulous place for picture opportunities.
Balls Head Bay – For the pleasing view of Sydney’s skyscrapers and the famed Harbour Bridge view head here as this place is not only quiet and serene but also offers breathtaking views of the city.
Cremorne Point Reserve – This Harbourside town of Sydney provides lovely photogenic opportunities of the CBD from the reserve. Apart from the view, the walk here is beautiful, you will witness stunning houses, gardens and check out Maccallum Pools which oozes character and charm.
Watson Bay – If you are talking about view this place surely deserves a mention. There are tons of restaurants and cafes around but the real deal is the view of Manly, city skyline and Sydney Harbour Bridge. My favourite picture spot was the Hornby Lighthouse along with Robertson Park. Boasting about five incredible beaches and Watson Bay Cliffs this suburb is a gem for photographers.
Circular Quay – This precinct is not only an ideal attraction point but also has many great corners where you can get magnificent views of Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. If you want more varieties of shots head to The Rocks, Botanical Garden or Contemporary Art Museum.
Sydney being such a massive city you are never short of amazing picture opportunities and even though the above places are just a few of the recommendations, You can still find inspiration in Bondi-Coogee Walk, South Head Walk, Sydney Opera House, Sydney Observatory Hill, Mrs Macquarie’s Point, Kirribilli, and the enormous CBD.
