I recently had the opportunity to get the true taste of Ireland’s supreme seafood and produce from the talented Chef James Coffey at the Irish Ambassador’s residence in Abu Dhabi.
Bord Bia which represents the Irish Food Board here in UAE takes extreme pride in their food and what better way to showcase that than with a little gathering. His excellency Aidan Cronin is passionate about his beloved country and tonight we were gathered to experience Ireland in Dubai.
With a three-course menu designed for us, we started with some Kelly Oysters straight from Galway Bay in Ireland, followed by Smoked Salmon which was paired with Atlantic Crabs picked from the Irish Coast. Our mains was an exotic fish Hake served with a delicious pine nut sauce and veggies. To finish off this lovely night we had some selection of cheeses accompanied with a marvellous Killowen Yogurt Sorbet on a Lemon Tart.
