Afternoon Tea in the heart of London – Conrad

Situated in the 19th-century old structure which was once a wartime residence is Londons first Conrad hotel. Being a part of history and continuing the famous English tradition of High Tea I was at Conrads sophisticated Lounge to try their high tea experience with sky-high expectations.

With tons of hotels and restaurants offering afternoon tea and each one compelling to be the best it was a tuff choice especially when you have to narrow down to a few of the fine ones but Conrad was one of the special options considering in mind their incredible service and eye-appealing dishes which I am fond off.

On a Rainy afternoon, I head to see for myself if this place is worth another visit? Candy Shop (Lounge) which has a very classic Victorian touch serves Emmeline’s Theme tea experience. Starting with a three tiered stand each layer has something unique to offer. Beginning from the Savories which has a lovely Ceasar Salad and a Hummus Brioche you would be filled with light and delicious treats.

Among the three Sandwiches, my favorite was the Salmon and Dill, but my better half savored over the Avocado and Red Pepper which was marvelous as well. If you are a fan of some Scones, fill your heart with joy since the intriguing varieties will woo you try them all with a light spread of simple yet appealing jams.

Their exotic teas completely relax your body, and you keep wondering to yourself why don’t we do this often. Sipping on my Rose Tea and glaring over the Dessert tray as our courteous staff explains to us the various sinful desserts which are not only elegantly done but has a few flavourful heavenly desserts which shall curb your sugar cravings for a while.

When it comes to High Tea, I can now completely get back here with my girlies and not only have a lovely time but also be content with a remarkable time with superb dishes.
