Looking for some good meat ? Your search should come to an end. Butcha Grill is a place for all you hardcore meat eaters. Not only can you eat here but also buy some superb cuts, Isn’t that great? Well this place had been on my list for a while but never got an opportunity to dine here until I was invited for a interactive session with their chef and to learn more about meat.
It has not been long since this place has opened and they are already doing pretty well for themselves. A massive place with a semi open kitchen gives you the chance to look at how your meal is being prepared and I was even lucky to get the opportunity to go in the kitchen and get a quick sneak peak into how it all works.
We began our evening by sipping on some really cool mock-tails and I can easily say their beverages are the best especially the Lavender drink and Hot Chilli. Yes, you heard it right Hot Chilli is actually chilli and leaves that spicy after taste which a spice lover like me would crave. Lavender drink on the other hand was so beautiful I could sip on this one all day long, a perfect beach drink!!
For starters we were served some of their best selling starters so no doubt it was brilliant.
*Butcha Specialty Bites – It had three very different elements like spicy sucuk, kofte and sausages. All were delicious but my favorite was the kofte because it oozed juice and had that adoring flavour which I was looking for.
*Beef Carpaccio – I don’t mostly prefer anything which is raw but this one was great on its own didn’t need any kind of necessary dressing to make it tempting.
*Butcha Cheese Salad – I didn’t really find anything extraordinary in this salad. It was very basic. Would be nice if it had more sauces or dips to go with it.
So the mains here are a must try and they have a variety of choices to opt for, I wish I could try a piece of all the dishes since most of them sounded so delectable.
*Steak New Orleans – I went for this because it was different from the usual steak it had cheese, eggplant and to make it more awesome pepper sauce which gives it that extra tangy flavour. The sides with this was Mushrooms which I felt were not to enjoyable since it was just plain boiled but overall my main course was fab.
*Chicken Sheesh Tawuk – I wasn’t expecting too much from this dish because this is not what their restaurant is famous for but to my surprise the Chicken pieces were so well marinated and flavoursome that it did make a decent dish.
Dessert :- Since the chef here is Turkish and Bakalava being one of the most famous dessert in Turkey we were served with one. I liked the texture of Bakalava but the Ice-Cream provided with it was too thick in consistency and I felt it just didn’t pack enough punch. The dessert was a case of hit and miss.
The best part about this restaurant is that they have a lot to choose from and their own meat aging room which in my opinion is so cool. Let them know what kind of meat you like and the chef will recommend you what is the best one based on your taste. I can easily say that now I have found the place which will not only make me happy but also satisfies my crave for meat.
