Il Borro Tuscan Bistro, a true Italian affair

So Il Borro Tuscan Bistro is a brain child of the fashion brand Salvatore Ferragamo, and with it’s opening in Dubai’s Jumeirah Al Naseem, I was apprehensive to know why this restaurant has been gaining so much appreciation in the last couple of months. From winning most of Dubai’s prominent hospitality awards to being a recent favourite of many socialites, Il Borro Tuscan Bistro was in my radar this weekend.

All the ingredients are sourced from their farm in Tuscany which makes each and every dish of supreme quality including their chicken which is corn fed. Simplicity is the key here and it is quite visible in most of their dishes. We begin our afternoon with some appetisers like Tuna Carpaccio, Burrata, and Salsa Mediterranean. All the dishes genuinely come across rich, special and exquisite. Of course the Burrata is their price possession, being super smooth and creamy, this one took my heart away.

Following the Italian way we were on our second course of pasta, which included the beloved homemade Gnocchi with Crab and Pumpkin Ravioli. We were swooned by the flavours, divine and delicious.

Just as our third course was on the way we were beginning to feel pretty full by all the food but who can say no to a perfectly grilled chicken and salmon. The food reminds you of the good old Italian cooking which is delicious and scrumptious.

Our desserts were two of their bestsellers, one being their cheesecake and the other one was their special Meringue with Strawberries. Don’t bother skipping those bites as each bite is luscious and exciting.
