With a number of restaurants boasting of serving the best Japanese food, I did a little round up on some extremely fine dining restaurants serving the best dishes and came up with places which surely shouldn’t be missed in Dubai. If you too are a true Japanese food lover with a will to try the fanciest places in Dubai you came to the right place.
Zuma, DIFC – Could it even be possible not to have Zuma in this list? This restaurant has won tremendous number of awards simply by wooing their customers with the excellent dishes, no doubt it is expensive but surely worth every dirhams. Zuma is not only in Dubai but also a world recognized restaurant known for it’s outstanding Japanese food.
Must Try – Wagyu Beef with Truffle and Zuma’s Chocolate Fondant.
Nobu, Atlantis – This restaurant never seems to disappoint me, with a comprehensive menu you are bound to go back more then once and every visit here would be truly remarkable. To impress your date they even have a garden which resembles the Japanese theme of this restaurant. Nobu’s world wide fame is no new news so if you are in Dubai don’t forget to check out this impressive restaurant.
Must Try – Miso Black Cod, Wagyu Meat and Matcha Fondant.
Akira Back, W Palm Jumeirah – Another michelin star chef who has made a name in the culinary scene is Chef Akira Back, his restaurant is new to the Dubai culinary scene but its already a big hit among the people here. There is no doubt this Chef is impresing many of us with his heavenly dishes, I cannot stop visiting this restauant quite more then I should.
Wakame, Sofitel Dubai Downtown – A fairly new restaurant but when it come’s to food they know the hidden textures and recipes which makes every foodie go ‘wow’. Firstly being mesmerized by the beautiful charm of this restaurant and then by the fantastic food this place should be the answer to all the people who expect nothing but the best on their plate.
Must Try – Truffle Teriyaki Baby Chicken and Wagyu Sirloin.
Buddha Bar, Grosvenor House – Taking away this year’s Times Out Award, Buddha Bar surely has the aura and charm to make you instantly love this place. With the peaceful and lit up Marina view and the massive Buddha statue you definitely have every bit of romance in this restaurant and the food is exceptionally top notch, don’t think it could get any better than this.
Must Try – Kung Pao Chicken and California Maki Rolls.
Tomo, Raffles – One thing Tomo has is the unbeatable view, come down to experience the beautiful sunset and you might end up even trying the scrumptious dishes they serve. View, food and style all in one place. A hidden gem in my opinion which is why this is my choice to experience Dubai’s scenic skyline and at the same time indulged in a satisfying meal.
Must Try – Grilled Salmon and Chicken Gyoza.
Hashi, Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa – Hashi restaurant in Armani hotel is not only known for it’s exquisite and chic interiors but also due to some of their most appealing and charming restaurants. Apart from Amal even Hashi is a Japanese restaurant which is very dear to me. With the picturesque view of the Dubai fountain and food which is divinely beautiful in texture and presentation. I definitely was taken back by Chef Jin’s genius dishes. This restaurant apart from it’s food also had one of the best service, ambience and a great Chef who is perfected the art of cooking nothing less then excellent.
Must Try – Wagyu Tattaki and Wasabi Prawns
Morimoto – There are many Japanese restaurants in Dubai which open and close quite frequently, but one restaurants which I am gald about its arrival in UAE is Morimoto. I have heard so much about it from my friends in U.S and when it finially opened in Dubai my joy knew no bounds. I love to sample their Friday brunch as they have the best signature dishes without comprimising on the quality. The terrace of this restaurant has a phenomenal view of the Burj Khalifa, sipping on those mocktails with that view never felt so good.
Must Try – Soft Shell Crab Tempura and Braised Black Cod
Katsuya by Starck – This famous restaurant is in Dubai, and they have not one but two branches in iconic locations, one being in Dubai Mall and the other in Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel. You cannot go wrong with food here, its a safe bet with a modern fair to the Japanese cuisine. I love their Bibimbap and their refreshing salads. This restaurant is a recent addition in the Dubai food scene but its already many people’s favorite.
Must Try – Crispy Rice and Spicy Tuna and Crispy Chicken Salad
Now with that impressive list, go ahead and try some of my top favourite dining restaurant this amazing city of mine has to offer. Until then I go and hunt some more charming restaurants for you!
