Best Attractions and places in Miami

After a 19 hour flight from Dubai, I finally reached the city of my dreams. Miami has been on my list forever and I cannot be happier to finally tick this sunny city off my bucket list. Being a city girl, I adore the tall buildings, beaches, fancy restaurants, outlets mall and Miami having all of these attractions at a much larger scale made me blissfully happy.

To sum up, my experience in Miami here are some of the attractions and places you should add in your Miami agenda.

South Beach – I strategically choose to stay in this area as it’s walking distance to the beach, restaurant and Lincoln Road Mall, which is a heavenly abode for shoppers. If you like to get immersed in Spanish culture visit the little alley called Español Village, it was a gem of a find.

Ocean Drive – Decided to walk down this side of the city quite a few times, the neon lights, bustling nightlife, and insanely populated restaurant scene make this an appealing part of Miami’s nightlife.

Everglades Tour – Protecting a large area of wildlife and endangered species I didn’t expect much from Everglades tour but to my surprise, I was left completely baffled as this place has limitless activities. Take an airboat tour here where you can witness different breeds of crocodiles or walk across the park to explore more of its flora and fauna.

Bayside Marketplace – Situated in the Downtown district of Miami this two story open shopping centre was my frequently visited place as it had one of my favourite seafood restaurants here. There are many cruises and boat tours departing from here, being one of the tourist’s spots you can expect it to get busy.

Bayfront Park – Just a few blocks away from Bayside Marketplace is Bayfront Park, known for its amphitheatre where many performances take place. A pleasant place to take a stroll, have a work out class or just relax and soak in the delightful views of the Biscayne Bay.

Little Havana – This Cuban neighbourhood is known for its cigar shops, domino park, cafes selling Cuban coffee, and a lot of tourists shops and restaurants. It’s a vibrant place and intriguing to see another side of Miami.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens – Made in 1910 by a famous businessman called James Deering this place is surrounded by nature and will transport you back in the good old Miami days. It consists of endless rooms filled with artwork, antiques, and sculptures. Shame, this place is listed as one of America’s most endangered historical places. Many movies have also been shot here due to its high tourist popularity.

Wynwood – One of Miami’s most colourful and distinct neighbourhood. This place features the work of street artists in form of graffiti and art. Pretty impressive to look around and admire the work of these talented artists. Apart from the creative side, you can even find restaurants and cafes around here.

Regardless of the hot weather in Miami, there are endless activities, attractions, beaches and the sparkling nightlife which will make your trip to this sunny city absolutely memorable.
