This river passes through Murrayland and Riverland and indeed there are tons of activities to keep you occupied. There are plenty of bushwalking trails along with a way to the Mt. Lofty Summit which takes a good 2 hours but it is worth the walk as the view is phenomenal from the top. You can even opt for mountain biking in some parts of the national park and if you are up for more adventure spend a night at Mt Lofty YHA.
Victor Harbour – This is a popular escape for many of the city dwellers as it’s not only in close proximity to the majestic Kangaroo Island but also features brilliant coastlines. Known for their horse run trams which you can take until the famous Granite Island this place is nothing short of excitement. You can even take a cruise to see the Seal Island here and encounter some sea lions and fur seals, isn’t that amazing? Stroll around the esplanade where you can munch at one of their cafes.
On your way to the harbour, don’t forget to make a quick stop at Port of Goolwa known for its beach, and activities like horse riding, kayaking and Goolwa Motor Museum. If you do have time Mclaren Vale region is also a pit stop while visiting Victor Harbour.
