On my first trip to New York, I was eager to stay near Times Square but on my second visit, I wanted to be closer to the Hudson River and no better place than Downtown Manhattan. My ideal choice after days of researching and scanning the perfect area I decided on The Millenium Hilton. Surprisingly even on my previous trip, I had chosen one of the Hilton brands as my abode, It looks like this brand really impresses me every time I am on a lookout for a perfect hotel.
A few reasons why The Millennium Hilton was my top choice and should be yours too:-
•Location – It is adjacent to the Oculus station which has some amazing shops too. One World Centre is a few steps away along with the World Trade Centre Museum. You have access to some great shops here and the ease of walking around the Financial District is a bonus. The area is beautiful and within minutes you can reach the Pier or the superb Battery Park.
•View – You don’t need to take a helicopter ride to enjoy the splendid view of the incredible NY skyline, you see it right from the comfort of your room. No matter which room you get you will be surrounded by breathtaking views of either the Brooklyn Bridge, Ground Zero, One World and many more amazing buildings. My favourite time was to sit by the window and catch the sunset, its the most liberating feeling.
•Food – You will be spoilt for food choices around here, there are tons of restaurants to make you happy especially if you are a foodie. Lucky enough I even got to witness the famous Smorgasburg food market which happens right across my hotel, it was a heaven of foods here. From Nobu to Ciprani you name it and they have some award-winning restaurants all around the vicinity.
•Shopping – If you are here to spend some $ and want to indulge in retail therapy this area has some fabulous shopping options. You will find Zara, Century 21, H&M and many more brands flooding this zone.
•Hilton Honors Points – Staying here has many perks but the best is if you sign up for the membership program you not only accumulate points but also get the best rate, complimentary breakfast, points towards free nights, the option of late check-out plus a lot more benefits.
Staying in The Millenium Hilton not only made my stay comfortable and memorable but also enhanced my overall trip. Choosing the right hotel can surely make a lot of different and especially if its a trusted brand like Hilton.
