It’s easy to keep yourself busy in this gigantic city, there are numerous things to do and something to please everyone. I wish I could go back in time and relive my time in Melbourne, it’s one amazing place to spend your holiday.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – J.K Rowling fans are in for a treat as this show has been recently showcasing at Princess Theatre Of Melbourne. Just like the movie the production is long so it’s broken into two parts and runs for over 3 hours but with a break in between. If you like to see this show, advance purchase of tickets would be advised as it’s hard to get hold of the tickets.
See a game at MCG – Being the 10th largest sports stadium in the world it would be good to experience the magic of this venue especially when there is a match happening. If you are short on time take a tour instead or visit the National Sports Museum here.
Helicopter ride – Nothing better then seeing this spectacular skyline than with a helicopter tour. You can see how well developed this city and how far spread out Melbourne is. Get your cameras ready as the view is something you would like to capture.
Hot air balloon – An experience of a lifetime, the Hot Air Balloon ride over the city of Melbourne is phenomenal and something you will remember for years to come. Some tours even provide breakfast once the balloon tour is over, the tour usually lasts for an hour.
Activities on Yarra River – Yarra River dominates the landscape of the city and there are plenty of activities you can do at the river like Kayaking, fishing, boating and swimming. This enormous stretch of river is 242km and is the soul of the city.
Melbourne zoo – Visit the world of animals and be amazed by some of the animals this zoo possesses. Over 250 species this place is worth the visit, some things you shouldn’t miss are the Lion Gorge, Gorilla Rainforest, Australian Bush and the Keepers Talks.
Visit the Forum – Catch a show at this Moorish theatre of Melbourne. This multi purpose theatre is used for events, concerts, cinema, and live music. Opened in 1929 this has been part of the city for a long time and it would be interesting to visit this iconic building. Their is an amazing history attached to The Forum.
Melbourne Aquarium – Take your kids for a day of adventure at the aquarium where you will be charmed by the Penguins, Crocodiles, Sharks and over 10,000 aquatic animals. Its a whole new world and would be appreciated by people who would like to know more about the mysteries of the seas.
Even though Melbourne is filled with activities and attractions, these are the few things which will be appreciated by people who are visiting the city for the first time.
