Berlin has a way of pulling you in, with its layered history, evolving art scene, and the kind of energy that makes every visit feel different. On my most recent trip, I chose to stay at the Waldorf Astoria Berlin, and I can honestly say: this wasn’t just a hotel stay, it was an experience.
First Impressions: Understated Grandeur
Located in the elegant Charlottenburg district, right by the iconic Kurfürstendamm, the hotel blends into Berlin’s rhythm with quiet confidence. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how refined and peaceful the atmosphere felt, nothing flashy, just a beautiful sense of space, calm, and care.
The staff were warm, intuitive, and incredibly professional. Everything during check-in was seamless, no waiting around, no noise. I was personally escorted up to my room, and pleasantly surprised by the view and the aesthetics of the room.

The Room: A Sanctuary in the Sky
My room was on a high floor with massive windows offering uninterrupted views over Berlin. The city looked almost cinematic from up there, especially at sunrise and golden hour.
The interiors were calm and luxurious: a palette of soft neutrals, marble finishes, and plush textures that made everything feel elevated yet completely comfortable.
What I loved most:
- A bed that felt like a cloud (and made leaving in the mornings a challenge)
- A sleek, spacious bathroom with both a tub and a rainfall shower
- Quiet little details like, thoughtful lighting, and absolute silence, not a sound from the city below
It felt like I had my own peaceful corner above Berlin.

Breakfast & In-Room Dining: Calm, Nourishing, Thoughtful
Mornings started slowly and beautifully with breakfast at ROCA. Think fresh pastries, local cheeses, cold-pressed juices, and one of the best oat milk cappuccinos I’ve had in a while. The team there remembered my preferences quickly, and by day two, it felt like a familiar morning ritual.
One evening, I opted for in-room dining and it might have been one of the best decisions of the trip. I had dinner by the window, watching the city light up below, wrapped in a robe, enjoying a perfectly plated meal in total peace.
The Spa, A Must Needed Experience!
Who doesn’t like to indulge in a little bit of pampering, I had booked myself for one of their signature massages and it felt so comforting and relaxing, if I did had more days here I would surely go for another massage. The overall atmosphere of the hotel, from the quiet corridors to the in-room experience, felt like its own kind of retreat.

Exploring Berlin, Effortlessly
What I loved about the Waldorf Astoria Berlin is how central yet peaceful it feels. I could step outside and walk to designer stores, charming cafes, and landmarks like the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church within minutes or hop in a cab to see the Berlin Gate or the Parliament building.
But just as often, I chose to return early and unwind, because the hotel itself felt like part of the destination.

Final Thoughts
The Waldorf Astoria Berlin isn’t just about five-star luxury, it’s about feeling truly looked after. There’s a sense of timeless elegance to everything, from the way the staff speak to the softness of the lighting at night. It’s the kind of place where comfort is curated, not just provided.
And having a personal butler? That elevated everything.
If you’re planning a trip to Berlin and want a stay that combines quiet luxury, personalized service, and an unbeatable location, this is the one. I left feeling restored, inspired, and more than a little spoiled (in the best way).
Can’t wait to return – Sana 🤍
