Palm Jumeirah surely has a lot of resorts to choose from, and each one of the resorts has they own character, style and landscape which shall make your stay different from the other ones. This week Waldorf Astoria was on my radar, with its luscious white curves on the outside and contemporary elegance from the inside this resort is a place you should experience. With a shimmering lobby and manicured staff, I was escorted to the check-in desk, my room wasn’t ready, yet so I took the time to explore the rest of this place.
With over six restaurants and bars to choose from, I decided to enjoy my lunch at the poolside restaurant Palm Avenue, even though it was a weekday this place was bustling with tourists and locals. After my lunch it was time to check in my room, I had opted for a King Deluxe Room which had a view of the Dubai skyline and the beach.
Modern classic room layout, with design and grace which makes you love every corner of this place is exactly what I was expecting from Waldorf Astoria. The distinguishing feature of the room was the marbled bathroom. I could easily spend hours in here. It has a bathtub which has its own T.V, a separate shower area, his and her basins and amenities all from the style waggon Salvatore Ferragamo. Indeed the architecture has done a good job by using all the available spaces, coming back to the room there is a work table, a sofa lounge and to my surprise a balcony which has a million dollar view.
Well, the astonishment just doesn’t end there, they have two temperature controlled pools and a Spa where you can choose from over 50 services. Among all these facilities I was more excited about the Michelin Star restaurant Social by Heinz Beck, I had secretly organised a dinner to surprise my husband who is a big fan of Italian cuisine and what better way to end the night, than this.
Next morning I got up feeling completely unwind and ready for a hearty breakfast at their restaurant Mezzerie. Some French Toast, Waffles, and Hash Brown made my tummy happy. As I was so mesmerised by my stay, I decided to request for a late check-out and hang out a little bit longer at Waldorf Astoria, the answer to luxury and comfort.
