Five Best Michelin Star Chef Restaurants In Dubai

Dubai’s culinary scene is growing better by each passing day, and apart from having some exceptional restaurants, it is also catering to various food event. Back in the days, it would be just a few limited cities which were known to have Michelin Star Chef or restaurants but not anymore. With Dubai’s growing popularity most of the well-known celebrity chef have a restaurant or heads the culinary team here in our city ‘Dubai’ and to make things interesting here is a list of best Michelin Star Chefs in Dubai.

Nobu  – Chef Nobu Matsuhisa is known for his Japanese fusion restaurant ‘Nobu.’ This restaurant is not only loved in Dubai but also adored in many other cities be it London, New York, Tokyo, or in any other parts of the world where this restaurant has made a prominent mark in the culinary food industry.

Having been given the opportunity I have cooked with him the signature specialty of this restaurant, which is their Black Cod in Miso sauce, a must order for any diner who loves seafood. Nobu restaurant excels in most of the dishes they have on their menu, and it is very hard not to be pleased by this kind of exceptional dishes.

Hakkasan – Chef Tong Chee Hwee started his cooking career at the young age of 18, and after a good amount of hard work, he was invited to become the head chef of soon to be known restaurant ‘Hakkasan’ in London. After a year of splendid cooking and wooing celebrities with his unique culinary talent, this restaurant soon got it’s first Michelin Star, which it still maintains until today.

Known as a popular hotspot in Dubai this restaurant deserves at least a few good visits to completely try their elaborate menu which has some of the most beautiful dishes.

Must try – Truffle Prawn Rolls

Rhodes W1 – British chef ‘Gary Rhodes‘ is a genius when it comes to showcasing his talents. Apart from being an exceptional Chef, he is also a highly successful writer, having around 20 cookery books one can judge this Master Chef love for cooking. Going according to his website, ‘he has cooked on almost every continent for royalty, prime ministers, presidents and all presidents men’ this in itself is an honor not many can claim.

Grosvenor House in Dubai Marina has ‘Rhodes W1’ which serves some remarkable dishes. The menu is limited, but every dish on there is carefully crafted with the best ingredients, something which only a brilliant chef like him can do.

Bread Street Kitchen and BarGordon Ramsay is a multi-Michelin Starred chef and also ruling the small screens with his amazing cookery shows. Known for his fiery temper and strict rules I can guarantee you he is nothing like that in person. Having worked for Marco Pierre White in his early days, he later moved to Paris to study French Cuisine, and after awhile he returned to London and worked at a restaurant named ‘Aubergine’ which made him win his first Michelin Star.

From there onwards this Chef paved his way to success with numerous restaurant openings, judging shows and most importantly winning hearts with his delectable food.

Even though his restaurant made a late entrance in Dubai’s culinary scene it still managed to strike a chord with its delicious food.

Nathan Outlaw at Al Mahara – This inspiring chef started learning the early traits of cooking at the tender age of fourteen. As his father was also a chef, you can see where the passion for cooking comes from; he runs his two Michelin star restaurant in Cornwall which is pretty popular for its luscious seafood.

His first Michelin Star was won at the age of 25, which is truly commendable. Today this chef is known for his unique approach to modern British food which makes his restaurants interesting and award worthy.

Burj Al Arab is surely a stunning place to visit, but for me, it gets even better as this talented chef is a part of the beautiful underwater restaurant Al Mahara. Most of the food here is simple but something which will touch you with its artistry flair and textures.

    Always great to see more Michelins coming into Dubai, let’s hope they stay and build consistency – more the merrier!

    As for W1 being limited – we’re British, we’re not known for our wide range of delicacies 😉
