Schoinousa Island: Discovering the Authentic Greek Experience

Schoinousa is also home to some of the most stunning beaches in Greece. Psili Ammos Beach, located just 2km from Chora, is the most popular beach on the island, with crystal-clear waters and soft, sandy shores. Livadi Beach, which is long and sandy, is another fantastic beach located close to the main town and with over 17 beaches to choose from, visitors will be spoilt for choice!

Hiking enthusiasts can explore the island’s rugged terrain and stunning vistas, while those who love the sea can indulge in snorkelling and swimming in the clear waters. And for foodies, Schoinousa offers a range of local delicacies, including fresh seafood and traditional dishes made with local ingredients.

Getting to Schoinousa from Athens is easy, with a ferry service available every day. Although the journey takes about eight hours due to stops at other islands, the scenic route offers stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Alternatively, visitors can take a flight or ferry to Naxos and then catch a ferry to Schoinousa, which takes slightly over an hour.
