Things to see in San Diego

San Diego being the second largest city in California and being situated on the coast of Pacific Ocean you can imagine the breathtaking views of this town, and if you are driving from Long Beach, you be charmed by the magic this drive has on you. While my stay in Los Angeles I made a one day trip to this paradise city of Western California.

City Of San Diego

On my drive to San Diego, I made a stop to a little beach of La Jolla which has a heavy Spanish influence. Soak in the love and the fantastic view of their lovely beach and if you do feel hungry enjoy an early lunch in their downtown before you head to the cosmopolitan city of San Diego.

Once you leave behind the beach of La Jolla, carry on to the Old Town of San Diego especially if you love history and culture to explore this intriguing town. Don’t forget to visit the spookiest house in this city called the Whaley House before you explore this little city of virtual mecca.

After a good hour in Old Town, we moved to our next stop Balboa Park, this park compromises of some of San Diego’s best museums and if you do have time make sure to have a look around in this delightful park.

Spending around two hours in Balboa park my stomach was craving for some good food, so we made a visit to their lively and busy shopping district called the Seaport Village, tons of restaurants and the bay view made this a memorable place.

Located a few blocks away from the Seaport Village is the famous Unconditional Surrender Statue, a picture here is a must before you head to the USS museum which will unveil some fascinating facts and take you back in time.

This island has a rich history and while you are you can swim, sail, shop and eat this place has everything you need to make this day extra special. Featured in many films and television series this should give you more reasons to visit this mesmerizing place.
